By booking or participating in a walk with Zen Map Japan LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not book or attend our walks. These terms constitute a binding agreement between you and Zen Map Japan LLC, a limited liability company registered in Texas, United States.
Zen Map Japan provides guided cultural walks focused on maps, navigation, and spatial logic education in Japan. Our walks are educational experiences, not traditional tours. We do not provide transportation, accommodation, or travel agency services beyond walk guidance. Maximum group size varies by walk (4-6 participants) as specified on each walk page.
Walks can be booked via our contact form or by emailing map@zenmapjapan.com. Payment can be made on arrival in Japanese Yen (cash) or via prepay bank transfer. Prices are listed in JPY on each walk page and include all items specified in the "What's included" section. Prices do not include transportation to the walk start point, meals, or temple/venue entrance fees unless explicitly stated.
Cancellations made with at least 24 hours notice will receive a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled walk are not eligible for a refund. If we must cancel a walk due to severe weather or unforeseen circumstances, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule at no additional cost.
Participation in our walks is at your own risk. Zen Map Japan is not liable for injury, loss, or damage to personal property during walks. We strongly recommend that all participants have appropriate travel insurance covering walking tours and outdoor activities. Walks may involve uneven terrain, stairs, and outdoor exposure. Please assess your physical ability before booking.
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms or your participation in our walks shall be resolved in the courts of Travis County, Texas.
